Simon Lewis writes
This script was co-written, over many years, with Dan Brown (not that one, another, more handsome one, as he is weary of pointing out). For reasons of budget, and to make the film feel unified and not episodic, we concentrated on just one episode from the globe-trotting novel, the section set in Goa called HOLY COW. The title comes from one of the book's early reviews, by Toby Litt, who described it as 'Jet-trash characters and gold dust prose'. I like the idea of giving a label to the kind of people the book is about - young, restless, and a bit dodgy - almost as if it were a subculture.
